Take Back Your Kitchen in 31 Days: Day 6 - Microwave

I clean our microwave every other week, so usually it doesn't get too bad. But when I opened it up today to clean it, I about passed out:

So embarrassing! Clearly, something exploded in there! Here's how I take care of it:

1. Fill a microwave safe glass or bowl about halfway with water and cook it in the microwave for 5 minutes.
2. After the 5 minutes, don't open the microwave for another 5 minutes or so (this lets the steam build up on the walls of the microwave like you see below)

3. Take out the glass or bowl and wipe the walls with a paper towel, rag, sponge..whatever you prefer.

It's that simple! Don't forget to give the outside of the microwave a wipe down too.
